Doctor Margaret D. Dockett matriculates from Central High School in Capitol Heights.  After high school, she continued her education and has received numerous certificates and degrees.   Doctor Dockett is married to Rev. Doctor Charles W. Dockett and is the Mother of three sons; Aaron, Alvin and the late Charles L., two daughters-in-law, Lindria and Michelle and three grandchildren Drevian, Sydney and Kendall. 

 

Doctor Dockett accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior as a young child at thePleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mitchellville, MD., where the late Rev. Arthur D. Walls served as Pastor.  She later moved with her family to the Free Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bladensburg, MD., where she served as the Sunday School and church Secretary, youth choir director, and many other capacities.       

 

 In December 1982, First Lady Dockett followed the call of her husband to serve at The New Macedonia Baptist Church, in Washington DC, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Robert L. Walls, Sr.  She served as a Deaconess, and a member of the Bus and Travel Committee.  In January 1993, she returned with her husband Rev. Dockett who was called to Pastor Free Hope Baptist Church.     

 

Doctor Dockett  currently serves as the First Lady, Deaconess, Bible Study Teacher, Director of  Christian Education and sings with the KMBC Choir at the Kingdom Missionary Baptist Church in Bladensburg, MD.  She has also served as President of the Ministers Wives and Widows Auxiliary of the National Capital Baptist Convention of Washington, DC. and Vicinity. Doctor Dockett is employed by the Prince George’s County Public Schools.
